This list is a sampling of machines in various time periods. Not every machine built during that time period is listed. Also, some dates reflect the year the machine was announced by the manufacturer, which is sometimes different than the year the machine is actually produced and/or shipped. This means in some cases the year stated might be off by 1 year when compared to other reference sources. In most cases, we select the earlier of the two possible years, since it reflects the year the machine was at least in the design/development stage.
